Romantic Bedroom Decorating Ideas

You spend a good part of your time in your bedroom so invest in furniture you love! When we found this stunning bed at the The Belfort Furniture Clearance Center we were inspired to create a Romantic Bedroom and wanted to share a few romantic room decorating ideas with you.

For your Romantic Room...

Your room should set the mood to feel warm and inviting. You can achieve this with subtle ambient lighting, if you have overhead lighting use a dimmer switch to control the light level. Select  warm colors like soft mauve, rich green or gray and fabrics that have texture and some weight like a linen or velvet. Warm up the walls with a wall covering or paint, we selected a warm gray paint color. Add softness with rugs and window treatments.

Our featured bed is from Cynthia Rowley for Hooker Furniture. We love the Venetian glass inset around the upholstered headboard.  Add a hint of luxury with a beautiful accent chair like this one from Fairfield in soft teal velvet and gray. If you have the space, consider adding a pretty bench at the foot of your bed for function and style. We found one in the Clearance Center from Lexington.
