Designers Transform an Empty Living Room for the 2014 Room Makeover Contest Winner
/Belfort's Design Team was able to help this family take their empty living room in their new home and create a space that the whole family can enjoy. With two young children, Ken's family was looking for a functional and practical space that was still stylish.
Now, this room is the perfect place for the family to relax and enjoy family movie nights. With a self-described 'transitional' style this family was looking for a minimalist style throughout the room. The Belfort Furniture Design Team added some pops of color through pillows and accessories.
The Huntington House sofa with chaise was the perfect option to allow ample seating for the entire family that's comfortable enough to curl up in. An accompanying swivel chair offers additional seating as well as fun cube ottomans by the beautiful windows.
Anchoring the room and creating a focal point around the TV, the Aspenhome wall unit offers storage for all of the family's DVDs. By mixing occasional tables from Four Hands, Riverside and Hooker Furniture, the design team was able to create a unique look that this family can call their own.
Custom window treatments allow the windows to become a highlight for the room and the fun, bold print brings the room to life. While Ken and his wife opted for a clean look, you could mimic this room and add your choice of accessories to create a completely different look!
