Don’t pull color from your artwork to use as a wall color. You may love that ocean view in the painting above your sofa, but pulling out that blue hue for the living room wall will make the painting disappear. Instead, select a neutral wall color and bring in painted furniture, accessories around, and sofa, pillow, and window treatments fabrics in the blue color.
